What makes us different

We are a medical practice

PH Med is a physician-run medical practice. Aesthetics is the field we work in; medicine is how we work. That distinction is not branding — it determines who assesses you, what gets examined before anything is done, and what happens when something goes wrong.

Most aesthetic treatment is performed by feel. The injector maps a face from experience and anatomical averages, places product where it usually goes, and assumes the anatomy matches. Most of the time it does. When it doesn't, the patient finds out weeks later.

We use real-time ultrasound where it changes the decision. For dissolving filler, correcting migration or nodules, and for placement in the higher-risk areas of the face, imaging shows the vessels, the tissue planes, and — often the surprising part — whatever product is already in there from treatment elsewhere. Not every treatment calls for it. When it does, we look rather than assume.

It is also why a meaningful share of our work involves patients who were treated elsewhere and want to know what is actually in the tissue before anyone touches it again.

Scope of practice

What we treat

Injectables

Botox, Dysport, Xeomin and dermal fillers. Also filler dissolution and correction of migration, overfilling and nodules from treatment elsewhere — the work where imaging matters most.

Skin tightening & resurfacing

XERF multifrequency RF for structural lift, and LaseMD ULTRA 1927nm thulium for pigment, texture and tone. Frequently sequenced together.

Regenerative

PRP and PRF, polynucleotide skin boosters, microneedling, and biostimulators including ultrasound-guided Sculptra for collagen restoration.

Hair & scalp

PRP scalp restoration for thinning and early pattern loss, assessed and performed by a physician rather than delegated.

Who performs your treatment

Dr. Bui does the assessment and the treatment

Across the aesthetics industry, a physician typically owns the business and someone else performs the treatment. That is legal in Texas under written delegation, and it is how the model scales.

We do not scale that way. Dr. Bui performs the assessment, builds the plan, and does the treatment. Not as a premium tier — as the only way we practice.

The practical effect is that the person deciding what your face needs is the same person holding the needle — and when imaging is called for, the same person reading it.

If you don't need what you came in asking for, you will hear that at the assessment rather than after three sessions.

Getting started

What your first visit looks like

  • Assessment first. We look at your skin and, where relevant, image the tissue. You'll see what we see.
  • An honest plan. What would actually help, in what order, over what timeline — including the parts that can wait.
  • A written quote before anything happens. Nothing gets added to your invoice mid-treatment.
  • Sequencing, not a menu. Structure is built before surface is refined, because refining the surface of a deflated face gives you a well-finished deflated face.

Most plans run across months rather than a single visit. Collagen takes time to build, and any practice promising you a transformation in one appointment is selling something other than a result.

How treatment is decided

The assessment determines the plan

Treatment follows an examination, not a request. Sometimes the finding is that the concern is better addressed by something other than what was asked for. Sometimes it is that the anatomy will not produce the result being described. Sometimes it is that nothing should be done yet.

Those are clinical conclusions, and they are given the same weight as any other.

Where we hold the line

  • Additional filler in a face already carrying too much of it.
  • A result the underlying structure will not support, at any price.
  • Packages purchased before an examination has established what is needed.
  • Treatment driven by a photograph of a different face.
  • Devices and products without evidence behind them, however well marketed.
Common questions

Before you book

Is PH Med a med spa?

We are a medical practice that works in aesthetics. In practical terms: a physician assesses and treats you, imaging is used where it changes the clinical decision, and we decline treatment we do not think you need. Those are medical standards, not spa standards.

Can you correct filler done somewhere else?

Depends, and often we cannot say until we look. Hyaluronic acid can be dissolved. Radiesse, Sculptra, Bellafill and silicone cannot — those are managed, not reversed.

The larger problem is usually what is unknown. Work done out of state or overseas tends to arrive with no records: no product name, no quantity, no dates, and sometimes no certainty it was a licensed practice. Imaging shows us what is sitting in the tissue. It does not tell us what was injected, how much, or by whom.

Where the picture is clear enough to act on, we will help. Where it is not, we will say so rather than guess. We do not take on correction of work performed outside a licensed practice.

Is a consultation required before treatment?

For anything involving injectables or a treatment plan, yes. The assessment is where we determine whether you need what you think you need — and occasionally conclude you don't.

How much do treatments cost?

It depends on what your assessment shows. We publish starting prices for our most-requested treatments and give you a written quote for the full plan before anything is scheduled.

How quickly can I be seen?

We're a single-physician practice and we schedule unhurried appointments rather than volume, so availability varies. Call or text (713) 396-2431 and we'll find the earliest workable time.
